Golf Shop Attendant
$16 - $18 per hour
We are seeking a full-time golf shop attendant who wants to join a team that is growing and shaping The Grove Country Club into one of the best Clubs in the Northwest Suburbs.
The Grove offers a unique opportunity as the Club is just starting to flourish. This position will assist the Director of Golf or Head Professional in establishing a new culture of buying and service at the Club. This position will greatly make an impact on the foundation of the golf operation in the golf shop.
The owners and membership are truly investing in elevating the Club and making it better than ever.
The Club hosts 14,000 - 16,000 rounds annually
230+ Members including golf & social memberships
14 Men’s Member Golf Events annually
18 & 9 Hole Ladies Leagues
Full calendar of social and golf/social events March - October
Host Site of Illinois Women’s State Amateur Tournament & IPGA Senior Championship
18 Hole Championship Golf Course
7032 yard Par 72 layout
70 Electric Golf Cart Fleet with GPS
Full Grass Tee Driving Range with separate instruction area
2,000 Square foot practice green

Job Description
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented individual with a "servant's heart" who takes pride in their approach to delivering the highest level of customer service. Job Description

Duties and responsibilities include: excelling in the overall daily function of the entire golf operation and its activities including
- Answering and exceeding all member questions, concerns, & requests, in person via email or telephone.
- Excellent organization and communication skills with members, guests and the entire club staff.
- Efficiently organizing and properly billing all golf fees and merchandise sales.
- Golf shop merchandising & special orders.
- Attractive merchandise display ideas and execution.
- Innovative sales techniques and merchandise sell through planning.
- Assist with tournament operations for all Men's golf events.
- Assisting with ladies 18-Hole & 9-hole Programs with the goal of exceeding ladies expectations.
- The candidate will be an integral part of the golf professional staff and will help the golf operation continue to proudly serve this membership. The club has a warm, family-oriented atmosphere with members who strongly support their golf staff.
