Job Summary

Poppy Estate Golf Course is now hiring Pro Shop staff for a busy 2024 golf season. Seeking energetic and motivated individuals who are friendly and customer service oriented. We are looking specifically for a pro shop attendant that is available for not just the summer but into the fall as well. Age 18 or older preferred.

Full Time / Part Time: March - October

• Requires both weekday and weekend availability. Some early morning shifts, but mostly afternoon - evening shifts that start approximately 2pm until dusk. Some winter shifts depending on availability.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Opening and closing the golf shop
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop
• Taking payment for golf, rentals, merchandise etc. using POS System
• Assisting with leagues and tournaments
• Course Starter over loudspeaker - Making sure tee sheet is on time and organized.
• Answering phone calls for customer inquiries and bookings
• Communicate with grounds crew regarding course conditions and events.
• Working with marshals to ensure pace of play and club rules are enforced

Qualifications and Skills

• Multitasking
• Quick evaluation and decision making
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Golf knowledge is an asset
• POS knowledge is an asset

Experience

• sales or customer service (1 year + preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Salary: $16.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
