Full job description
The Golf Course Attendant at Vista Ridge is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting golf course operations and maintenance, with a focus on enhancing the golfing experience for our visitors.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to golfers, offering guidance, assistance, and enforcing course rules and policies.
- Monitor the pace of play and ensure a positive experience for golfers including mediation of any disputes that may arise between groups.
- Handle golf cart taxiing, club rentals, distribution, and collection while maintaining their cleanliness and condition
- Golf Course Maintenance and Upkeep
- Operate greens mowers and other maintenance equipment to preserve high-quality golf grounds and playing surfaces.
- Perform landscaping, general maintenance, and upkeep tasks to ensure the golf course's aesthetics and functionality.
- Assist in maintaining the irrigation system as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Golf Manager
- Support other outdoor roles such as the Aerial Park by assisting guests in donning and securing safety gear, conducting comprehensive safety briefings and monitoring and encouraging guests as they complete park obstacles.
- Support overall Vista Ridge operations by participating in cross-training as necessary.
Required Skills:
- Personable and professional with the ability to build strong relationships and interact with Vista Staff at all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of golf etiquette and course rules.
- Proficiency in operating golf course equipment, including greens mowers.
- Basic landscaping and maintenance skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in golf course operations or a similar role.
- Familiarity with golf course maintenance and equipment operation is preferred.
- Experience in golf cart handling and maintenance is preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
· Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
· Will be required to work in fast paced environment
· Standing for extended periods of time.
· Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50lbs/23 kg) as required.
