We are seeking an energetic individual that loves working in a team environment and thrives on providing exceptional customer service to members and guests of a busy semi private golf club. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operations of the golf shop.
Overview Of Ledgeview Golf Club
The Ledgeview Golf Club, located in Abbotsford BC, has just celebrated its 60th anniversary. With a unique and decorated history of developing some of Canadas top professionals, such as Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor, Ledgeview, operating as a non- profit society, is a challenging par 70 layout. Major changes have taken place over the past 2 years highlighted by the opening of a brand new 12,000 sqft clubhouse with a full-service restaurant and large banquet space. In 2022 the Trans Mountain Expansion Project entered the Ledgeview property and provided the opportunity to make major course improvements including the completion of renovations to 3 greens and the addition of an 80 yd practice hole.
In addition to accommodating both a full membership, public play, and charity events, Ledgeview is focused on being a host venue for major provincial and national championships. 2023 Ledgeview played host to the PGA of Canada Seniors National Championship and will be hosting the 122nd BC Amateur Championship.
The city of Abbotsford offers a great opportunity for an active lifestyle with reasonable affordability all while being a 1-hour drive from Vancouver. Abbotsford boasts its own International Airport, agricultural tourism, farm to table establishments, and the AHL Abbotsford Canucks (farm team for Vancouver Canucks).

Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations
- The Golf Shop Attendant performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to:
- Provides an above & beyond customer service level, recognizing our members and guests
- Ensures proper POS entry of members and guests, gathering appropriate information and entering information as per the procedural guidelines to ensure consistency of information within the system.
- Properly checks in golfers, ensuring rounds are appropriately recorded and all rentals, other services and products are appropriately captured.
- Ensures golf shop and golf services are set up and ready for member & guest use
- Supports the set up and organization of the golf services aspects of tournaments, leagues, and special events.
- Identifies opportunities to provide suggestions to customers and suggest sales items, features and promote upcoming events.
- Collaborates with other Golf Shop and Outside Services staff to ensure excellent overall service levels.
- Ensures the cleanliness of the Golf Shop, rental equipment, stock rooms, and public areas, ensuring all appropriate health and safety regulations are met.
- Ensures proper opening and closing procedures are completed, including responsibility for ensuring proper opening and lock up of the facility.
- Answers general questions about overall golf club operations, where unable to answer questions, directs customer to appropriate contact.
- Follows golf course rules, regulations, and policies, directing questions to the Head Golf Professional for clarity, as required.
- Makes customers aware of applicable golf course rules, regulations, and policies in a professional and diplomatic manner.
