Bay Valley Golf Club & Resort is one of Michigan's premier golf destinations and home to the only golf course in Michigan designed by renowned architect Desmond Muirhead. As we continue to grow our golf operations and Bay Valley Golf Academy, we are seeking an energetic, customer-focused professional to join our Golf Operations Team.
This hybrid position combines responsibilities in both the Golf Shop and Outside Services, making it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be involved in every aspect of the golf operation.

Position Summary
The Hybrid Golf Shop & Outside Services Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while assisting with the daily operation of the golf shop, practice facilities, bag services, cart fleet, and tournament operations. Team members will rotate between indoor golf shop responsibilities and outdoor golf operations throughout their scheduled shifts.
This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to multitask while creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Essential ResponsibilitiesGolf Shop Operations
· Welcome guests with a positive and professional attitude.
· Check golfers in using ForeUP tee sheet software.
· Process green fee, cart, merchandise, and food & beverage transactions.
· Answer telephone calls and assist guests with tee time reservations.
· Assist customers with merchandise purchases and product recommendations.
· Promote memberships, instructional programs, leagues, tournaments, and special events.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive golf shop.
· Restock merchandise and assist with inventory organization.
· Operate point-of-sale and credit card systems accurately.
· Balance daily cash drawer and complete end-of-shift procedures.
· Assist with tournament registration, scoring, and event operations.
· Provide guests with information regarding course conditions, pace of play, and resort amenities.
Outside Services
· Prepare and stage golf carts prior to daily play.
· Clean, sanitize, and recharge golf carts after each use.
· Maintain the driving range by collecting, washing, and stocking range balls.
· Keep practice facilities clean and properly stocked.
· Assist guests by loading and unloading golf bags.
· Greet arriving golfers and direct them to appropriate facilities.
· Monitor the first tee and assist with efficient player flow.
· Ensure carts are fueled, charged, and maintained according to procedures.
· Maintain bag storage and club cleaning services.
· Set up and tear down tournaments, outings, leagues, and special events.
· Assist with signage, staging, contest holes, scoring areas, and awards setup.
· Help maintain cleanliness throughout the clubhouse entrance, cart staging area, and practice facilities.
· Communicate course conditions and operational needs with the Golf Professional staff.

· Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
· Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
Previous golf course, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to the right individual.
Physical Requirements
· Standing and walking for extended periods.
· Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Lifting up to 50 pounds.
· Loading and unloading golf bags and merchandise.
· Frequent bending, reaching, and pushing golf carts.
· Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during the golf season.
