The Golf Assistant Superintendent will assist the Golf Course Superintendent in the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course. This includes managing the crew, overseeing the daily maintenance of the course, and ensuring that the course is in top condition for play.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in managing the crew and ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Oversee the daily maintenance of the golf course, including mowing, watering, fertilizing, and aerating
- Ensure that the golf course is in top condition for play at all times
- Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive maintenance plan for the golf course
- Monitor the condition of the golf course and make recommendations for improvements as needed
- Assist in the management of the budget for the golf course maintenance department
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
- Assist in the training and development of the maintenance crew
- Ensure that all safety procedures are followed at all times
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and procedures
- Ability to operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
