Atlas golf services at Cathedral Golf Club are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our dedicated Course Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in maintaining and presenting one of Regional Victorias premier private golf courses to the highest standard.

About the Role
Reporting to the Course Manager, the Assistant Course Superintendent will assist in leading the day-to-day operations of the course maintenance team. You will play a hands-on role in all aspects of turf management, staff supervision, and the delivery of exceptional playing surfaces for our members and guests. Located two hours NE of Melbourne, Cathedral golf club is set on private farmland adjacent to the Goulburn River at Thornton.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and motivate course staff in daily maintenance operations
Assist with planning and implementing turf management programs
Champion continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of safety and compliance
Operate a range of turf machinery and equipment
Pest, disease identification and IPM
Pesticide and fertilizer storage, handling and application
Irrigation repair, maintenance and scheduling
Support the Course Manager in achieving the Club’s presentation and course improvement goals
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership position(2years) within the turf or golf industry.
Strong knowledge of turf maintenance practices, irrigation systems, and machinery operation
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
A proactive and hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
A golfer or a good understanding of the game
Tournament preparation experience
