ABOUT US Sherwood Park Golf Club is a thriving Golf Club looking for a team member to join us in the Golf Shop 20-30 hours a week including weekends. We have approximately 450 members who we serve and look after. OVERVIEW As a Golf Shop Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the efficient operation of the golf shop. You will assist customers with their golfing needs, handle transactions, manage inventory, and contribute to creating a welcoming and organised environment for the golfers. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Ideally you will have 2-3 years’ experience in retail and merchandising, good computer skills, a passion for sport and a great customer service base. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Customer Service • Welcome customers and assist them with inquiries regarding merchandise, tee times and general golf related questions. • Booking Tee times, assist with competitions and entering score cards. • Provide recommendations and guidance on golf equipment, apparel and accessories based on customer needs and preferences. 2. Sales and Transactions • Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, credit card, eftpos and members accounts payments. • Ensuring merchandise displays are well-maintained and stocked. • Day to day support with general shop tasks.
