*Overview* The Golf Shop Attendant plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall experience for our guests at the golf course. This position involves managing retail operations within the golf shop, ensuring a welcoming environment, and promoting merchandise effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for golf, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. *Duties* * Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries and purchases. * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices. * Maintain an organized and visually appealing retail space through effective merchandising and stocking of products. * Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about merchandise features and benefits. * Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales and promote special offers. * Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. * Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. * Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and placing orders as necessary. * Foster a positive shopping experience through exceptional customer service and communication skills. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred. * Familiarity with basic math and retail math principles to ensure accurate transactions. * Experience with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members. * Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership abilities within a retail environment. * Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse clientele. * Knowledge of golf products is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning about the sport is essential. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
