Position Summary
Greets members/guests; sells merchandise, tee-times, etc. in the golf shop.

Education/Certificates/Licenses/Training
High School Diploma preferred, but not required.
Experience/Background/Knowledge
Prior experience in retail preferred. Knowledge of the game of golf essential.
Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees and guests in a fast paced environment. Must be able to perform basic math computations.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Is required to operate a motor vehicle.

- Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous and friendly service to all members, guests and employees.
- Advises members and guests about attire, golf clubs and supplies, etc.
- Arranges and displays pro shop inventory; Keeps golf shop clean and orderly
- Records all sales transactions.
- Issues receipts for greens fees and cart rentals.
- Assists in packing and unpacking inventory.
- Assists in special orders.
- Arrange tee times conduct transactions using point-of-sale computer program
- Recruits tournament participants.
- Trains new staff members.
