The Graduate Assistant Golf Coach supports the head coach in all aspects of managing a collegiate golf program. This role combines Christian leadership, coaching, administrative responsibilities, driving a 15-passenger van, and mentorship of student-athletes.
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and match preparation
- Provide technical instruction and skill development for student-athletes
- Support strength, conditioning, and injury prevention programs
- Analyze player performance and contribute to match strategy
- Assist with recruiting efforts, including scouting and communication with prospective student-athletes
- Help organize team travel, scheduling, and logistics
- Monitor academic progress and promote student-athlete success
- Ensure compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
- Assist with camps, clinics, and community engagement activities
- Perform administrative duties such as record-keeping, equipment management, and correspondence.
- Assist in transportation such as driving vans when needed.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor student-athletes
- NCAA required learning courses
- Valid US driver’s license
