Position Concept: The Golf Shop assistant will assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Professional in the management of day-to-day golf operations of the facility. The position is responsible to supervise and manage total golf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional and/or Assistant Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service and creating member value.

Specific Responsibilities - included but are not limited to:
· Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
· Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to all members/guests
· Assist with management of outside service staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved
· Understand and implement Club policies and procedures
· Golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play
· Opening and closing procedures
· Assist with management of daily plan, including member and guest check-in, proper charging of all fees and supervision of 1st and 10th tees
· Maintain cleanliness of Golf Shop, Cart Storage facility, Practice facilities, locker room, etc
· Management of golf car operation, practice facility, and club storage service
· Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments
· Manage golf car fleet rotation and service procedures
· Assist in golf merchandising, including purchasing, displays, inventory control, promotion and sale of merchandise
· Assist with tournament administration of member events and outings
· Assist in managing facility tournament operations including weekly events
· Assist with men’s, women’s, and junior golf events and programs
· Responsible for timely and consistently maintaining the club’s USGA Handicap System
· Promote all club activities and services
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Traits
· Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
· Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees

· Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
· Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in other applications, i.e. email, internet, tournament and database
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
