Rate: $26 - $32/hr About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic individual to join our golf shop as a Golf Shop Assistant Manager. As the Golf Shop Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of the golf shop and assisting the Golf Shop or General Manager in various administrative tasks. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and passion for golf will contribute to creating an exceptional experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Director of Golf and Professional Staff, including managing schedules, handling phone calls, email correspondence, and maintainingrecords. This position is customer/member facing and will manage the golf shop operations. Customer Relations: Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their inquiries, and providing information about the golf shop's products and services. Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately, handle cash, credit card payments, and reconcile daily sales reports. Merchandising: Assist in merchandising and displaying golf shop products, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment. Golf Events Coordination: Assist in managing registrations, tee times, and prize distribution. Communication Liaison: Act as a liaison between the golf shop and other departments within the golf facility, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Marketing Support: Support marketing initiatives by contributing ideas, creating promotional materials, and utilizing social media platforms to enhance the shop's visibility. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the proper care and maintenance of golf shop equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition at all times. Administrative Projects: Assist in special projects as assigned by the Director of Golf and Head Professional , such as compiling reports and implementing process improvements. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or coursework in business administration or golf-related fields is a plus. Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably within a high end fast paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach. Proficiency in using computer software, including MS Office suite and POS systems. Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories is advantageous but is not necessary. Strong organizational abilities and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and inventory management. A passion for people and a genuine desire to provide an exceptional golf shop experience for members and guests.
