We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for sports and exceptional financial and customer service and management skills. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager at our progressive and successful licensed golf club in a picturesque setting in the beautiful town of Tumut in the Snowy Valleys. This role is perfect for someone looking to further or diversify their career to include hospitality and club management by providing key support to the club board, manager and members .

Responsibilities:
  • Club Operations: Assist the manager in the day-to-day management of the golf club, ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent service to members and guests.
  • Staff Supervision: Assist the manager in overseeing and supporting club staff, including scheduling, and performance management.
  • Event Coordination: As required, plan and execute club events, tournaments, and private functions, ensuring all details are handled efficiently.
  • Financial Management: Provide monthly reports to the Board for financial results, budget comparisons, cash flow and KPI outcomes. Assist the manager in maintaining accurate financial records including documentation for annual audits.
  • Customer Service: Foster a welcoming atmosphere, address member queries and concerns, and ensure a high standard of customer service.
  • Compliance: Assist the manager in ensuring the club adheres to all licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Act as both Club Secretary and Licencee, including setting meeting agendas and attending meetings as minute taker.
    • Must hold both RSA and RCG qualifications.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in financial reporting and corporate governance
  • experience with budgeting and financial management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
  • Knowledge of golf is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
