Do you have a passion for hospitality? Would you like to advance your merchandising career at an award-winning Platinum 5-diamond Country Club? Boca West is excited to announce the exceptional opportunity of Golf Shop Assistant. The Golf Shop Assistant will be an integral part of the retail operations team. In 2019, Boca West was recognized as South Florida PGA Section Merchandiser of the Year and has won numerous AGM Platinum awards for merchandising. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and well organized individual committed to exceeding members’ expectations in a country club environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following areas:
Experience within the hospitality industry at the country club, hotel, or resort level
Desire for career advancement into management position within hospitality industry
Passion for hospitality
Coachable and willingness to learn
Availability to work one weekend day and most holidays
Team player and self-starter
Ability to multi task efficiently
Professional appearance
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Customer service and Point of Sale experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time

- Key Holder; ensures that opening, closing, and daily retail operations are being carried out according to Boca West policies and procedures
- Provides exceptional customer service on the sales floor to enhance our members’ and guests’ shopping experience while maximizing sales
- Proactively responds to all member and customer feedback in a timely manner
- Assists with Special Order Program, Trunk Shows, and all other retail related functions
- Assists with overall appearance of merchandise displays and rotation of merchandise
- Assists with monthly inventory and reconciliation
- Maintains a professional and clean work environment
- Assists with checking in golfers as needed
Experience within the hospitality industry at the country club, hotel, or resort level
