The Golf and Recreation Director is responsible for all facets of golf and recreation programming on behalf of the MetroParks. With a focus on recreational opportunities, visitor services, and events management, you will foster a welcoming environment that promotes visitor satisfaction, team engagement, and operational excellence.
Who you are!
- Must be at least 18 years old with minimum high school completion or GED
- You possess a valid driver's license
- You have a minimum of a in Business or Sports Management, Turfgrass Maintenance, Recreation, or a related field
- You have a minimum of progressive experience in managing the operation of a public or private golf course or recreation facility
- Lead the promotion, development, and coordination of both short- and long-term golf and recreation programming plans and events throughout the MetroParks
- Develop and execute engaging events and tournaments that attract guests and enhance the overall resort experience
- Oversee guest services by providing personalized assistance, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Lead a team of golf professionals, recreation staff, and operations personnel through effective management practices, training, and motivation
- Serve as both a liaison between and a resource for the MetroParks and the golf and recreation community
- Ensure the appropriate promotion, successful implementation, and support of the golf and recreation programs, leagues, events, and clinics offered by the MetroParks
- Prepare, implement, and monitor the Annual Plan of Operation and corresponding budget
- 10% OPERS Contribution with 14% OPERS Employer Match
