The Manager of the Golf Shop / Café has a responsibility for providing excellent customer service to the many members and customers who use the Golf Shop/Café and the Club’s two golf courses. The role is responsible for assistance with numerous golf related activities, ensuring the provision of great food and beverages and managing the team who help with providing this. General shop duties • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Café / Shop. • Accounting for monies that pass-through Café/ Shop including preparing daily deposits and reports • Use of the Swiftpos sales system • Be responsible for fulling the requirements of the Sale of Liquor Act at all times, adhering to the off license and ensure no unauthorized persons are present on the Club premises in circumstances which contravene the Club’s liquor license. • Abide by food hygiene guideline’s • Stock control including ordering stock, receipting inwards goods and monthly stocktakes to maintain optimum but not excessive levels • Manage, train, and motivate Golf Shop / Café staff • Organize and manage rosters for employees and volunteers in the Golf Shop/Café and Lakes Course Kiosk • Daily cleaning and maintenance of Café / Shop Golf related activities • Booking tee times • Overseeing the Dot Golf system • Enforce “Club House/Golf Course” rules in a friendly manner • Sales/processing of green fees, shed rentals, cart rentals, and golf stock inventory • Registering golfers for league play and tournaments, setting out markers for league play, inputting score, assisting with tournament and event organization • Communicating with grounds staff any tournament preparation and course closures • Charging, rotating and cleaning golf carts • Marketing of golf course, tournaments, and events through all means possible to increase memberships and green fee players • Preparing posters advertising tournaments and special events in conjunction with Event Co-Ordinator • Updating the Golf course's Facebook page
