Full job description
SUMMARY

The Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper will support the finance shared services for Mickelson National Golf Club. The qualified candidate will have strong quantitative and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in basic accounting functions and software programs. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude for this hands-on role. Since our business environment is always changing, a willingness to learn and the ability to adapt are essential. Experience in the golf or hospitality industry is preferred but not necessary.

General Ledger

· Prepare and post journal entries for daily sales.

· Review cashouts and tip distributions.

· Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as required.

· Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.

· Work closely with the Controller on meeting monthly and quarterly deadlines.

Accounts Payable

· Process AP invoices – print\scan and follow up on approval.

· Review AP statements and communicate with vendors on discrepancies.

· Reconciliation of credit card and pre-authorized payments for assigned transactions.

Accounts Receivable

· Prepare and post member/customer invoices.

· Post payments to member accounts.

· Research and investigate customer account issues, adjustments, and corrections.

· Process payments in accordance with contractual agreements (deposit schedule) and ensure that customer is compliant.

Member Accounts

· Coordinate with sales team and update member accounts for contact and credit cards information.

· Escalate issues/queries to Sales Representative.

Administration

· Perform special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by Management Team.

· Assist in creating and monitoring internal controls and policies for a high-volume business.

· Look for synergies to be created through standardization, centralization and streamlining of operations.

· Work closely with the Management Team here and at Wilco.

· Such other duties and responsibilities as the Company may require from time to time.

You must have an enthusiastic attitude, willingness to learn and an ability to fit well into a team. Highly motivated with positive energy.

Experience and Requirements:

· High school graduate or equivalent

· Minimum of one year experience in an accounting/bookkeeper role

· Background of hospitality or golf course accounting preferred

· Experience with Point of Sales Systems

· Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Office Skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
