Job Title: General Manager
Location: BigShots Golf, Springfield, MO
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and mentor staff, including hiring, recruiting, motivating, coaching development, evaluations, and progressive discipline.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals are achieved for the venue.
- Actively participate in venue sales efforts.
- Collaborate on the creation, management, and operation within the property budget and expense plans.
- Prepare and monitor the annual budget, revenue goals, and expenses, as well as generate various business volume forecasts.
- Monitor financial reports/statements daily, weekly, and monthly, and take effective corrective action when necessary.
- Develop aggressive sales, marketing, and revenue plans and ensure successful implementation.
- Involve all team members in generating revenue through continuous communication on the importance of continuous marketing.
- Implement and consistently follow the BigShots playbook.
- Oversee the care and maintenance of all physical assets in the facility.
- Coordinate marketing programs to promote the facility’s services to potential guests.
- Ensure the highest standards for food and beverage products and service on the property.
- Represent the company within the community, maintaining a positive rapport with local organizations.
- Timely submission of required reports to Regional Director of Operations, CEO, and Owner.
- Ensure all financial (invoices, reporting) and team member-related administrative duties are completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee services of vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Ensure safety and licensing compliance with health and other statutory regulations.
- Embrace OHM culture, including O’Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, Team Member Satisfaction, Health & Wellness, and Safety culture.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
- Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Pleasant, polite manager maintaining a neat and clean appearance.
- Ability to motivate team members to work as a team to meet appropriate OHM and BigShots brand standards.
- Handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend solutions to challenges.
- Ability to deliver results.
- Work well with and motivate a variety of personality types, maintaining tact and diplomacy.
- Multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Model behaviors to motivate, lead, and develop the team.
- Professional presentation and persuasion skills.
- Sound knowledge of all aspects of the operation and services offered.
- Use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the operation.
- Interact with all levels of customers and BigShots management.
- Comfortable with a high level of visibility and leadership role within BigShots and the community.
- Scheduling may vary, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum of 5 years previous General Manager experience in entertainment venues or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous F&B supervisory experience.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
- Minimum lifting capacity of 50 pounds.
- Able to bend, lift items of 40 pounds minimum overhead for storage.
- May be required to lift in excess of 50 pounds on occasion.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion, and climbing.
- Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
