- Hawks Nest Golf Club is a superb 18-hole golf course located 50 km north of Newcastle and has been described by Australian golf professional Craig Parry as a hidden gem and one of the best courses in NSW.Located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, set in a magnificent bushland setting, the Hawks Nest area offers a championship golf course with a sea-change lifestyle environment for the successful applicant.The role Reporting to the Board, you will have the club's best interest at heart and bring a strong business management approach to the conduct of the Club's affairs, excellent governance, a high level of professionalism with a focus on being part of a team environment, providing quality products and services for our 800 golfing members, 3500 social members, the local community, and visitors to the area.Demonstrated leadership and people skills as well as a friendly, personal approach are necessary to gain the respect of staff, contractors, members, and visitors as is being able to work with all levels to have a professional, happy and functional workplace.Financial management capability including achieving KPI's, budgeting, cost control and profit generation are also important aspects of the role.A minimum of five years' experience as a General Manager of a medium to large corporation or in a senior management role in a Licensed Club environment is sought and tertiary qualifications would be well regarded.A competitive salary package is negotiable and assistance with relocation is offered.
