Located in the heart of this beautiful town, the Yamba Golf & Country Club (YGCC) offers all the latest facilities you'd expect from a modern social and sporting club. The Club is in the initial stages of a $4 million planned renovation which will elevate the Club experience even further.
The Club has over 3,000 members, a gaming installation of 47 EGMs (56 entitlements in total) and a dynamic team of 40 staff. There are a range of bars as well as a modern indoor restaurant with an adjacent, well-appointed outdoor deck overlooking the golf course. Our popular function & wedding facilities include;
YGCC are looking for a new General Manager to take on this prominent role. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will lead and manage the team to not only enhance and grow all areas of the business, but to also focus on the investigation and analysis of additional revenue streams, including their development and implementation. The General Manager will be required to focus on bringing new experiences to both the golfing and social members and their families.
The new General Manager will continue the work achieved by the long-serving incumbent General Manager. As the new General Manager you will bring a demonstrated knowledge, ability, experience, and confidence to the role. The General Manager will require a high degree of capability in pro-active customer service initiatives as well as demonstrate professionalism with the community, members and staff.

Responsibilities of the role include:
- Day to day management of all areas of the Club's operations, overseeing bar, functions and food in collaboration with the Food & Beverage Manager
- Gaming management of EGMS, TAB, Keno and the Club's loyalty program
- Strategic planning
- Identifying, pursuing, and leading the Club into future opportunities.
- Providing excellence in customer satisfaction
- Providing a positive and inclusive culture
- Financial management including budgeting, overseeing preparation of financial reports, and presenting reports to the Board
- Understanding of Project management in relation to renovations, refurbishments etc
- Management and leadership of staff including managing staff development and performance through strong mentoring and leadership
- Maintaining and developing policies and procedures
- Providing and driving marketing initiatives to attract and retain members
- Communicating professionally with suppliers, members and stakeholders including resolving any challenges
- Working collaboratively with the Golf Operations Manager and Golf Course Superintendent
- Ensuring compliance with all legislation across all areas of the business
- Demonstrate experience in business management (preferably within a hospitality or hospitality/golf environment).
- Possess a high level of business ethics and integrity.
- Demonstrate the ability to build on, lead, and motivate effective teams to succeed and further develop the business.
- Have experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
- Demonstrate financial management, analysis monitoring, and reporting.
- Hold current RSA and RCG certificates (or ability to achieve these) as well as meet the strict criteria to hold the Club's licence.
- Be confident in working collaboratively with the Board of Directors
- Be able to confidently represent the Club within the community with ultimate professionalism.
- Have up-to-date knowledge on all legislation relating to licenced venue
- Ability to work flexible hours and days
- Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
