OBJECTIVE: To maintain the Golf Course and keep it in as good a shape as possible ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: 1. Reports to: Designated Crew Leader or Foreman 2. Directs: Does not supervise any employees 3. Other: Has some contact with the general public GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This is a non-supervisory position on a seasonal basis .Duties include the performance of manual and machine-aided labor tasks; mowing grass and using different types of mowers ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: During the year, one or all of the essential job functions will be performed Use hand tools to dig ditches or holes Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs by use of reel-type and rotary mowers Hand shovel dirt or gravel Assist in aerification and top dressing greens Tamp, pack and level dirt or other material Manual watering Load and unload materials and equipment Change putting green cups on greens Trim trees, pick up brush, and load brush onto a truck Plant trees and shrubbery Cut grass using a push, power, or small rider lawn mower or power trimmer Perform light maintenance and construction duties Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or fell, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and reach with hands and arms Must arrive at work on time May occasionally operate a tractor mower, or other light equipment No minimum number of hours guaranteed Must maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance OTHER IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS: The above statements are not a complete list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills held or performed by employees in this job. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to follow oral instructions, to learn to use power or hand operated tools, to perform strenuous work in the outdoors under extreme heat and cold weather conditions; and to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other employees. May be required to have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Graduation from high school or equivalent is desirable CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
