Expires: September 21, 2026

Run the best table on the Sunshine Coast. Cardón sits inside Pelican Waters Golf Club, looking out over a championship 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course, and we're after a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to take the reins across restaurant, bar and functions.

This is a role with real autonomy. You'll set the standard on the floor, build and grow an exceptional team, and make Cardón the venue people must hold their event at. If you're the kind of operator who reads a room and gets a quiet satisfaction from a fully-booked weekend running like clockwork, this is your venue.

The role
You'll oversee daily operations across the Restaurant and Bar, and run private functions and corporate events in our function space from first enquiry through to delivery. You'll hold service standards, develop your team, manage budgets and labour, and continue to lift the guest experience. It's a seven-day venue, so you'll work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

What you'll do
  • Lead daily service across the Restaurant and Bar, holding standards through both à la carte and events
  • Run functions and corporate events end to end, from booking and pricing to delivery
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor and develop a front-of-house team that runs well
  • Manage rosters, labour budgets and staffing to hit operational and financial targets
  • Monitor performance, inventory and ordering to protect margin and cut waste
  • Coordinate event budgets, pricing, invoicing and reporting
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to keep kitchen and floor moving as one
  • Maintain compliance across food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety
  • Resolve guest feedback professionally
What you'll bring
  • Proven hospitality management experience, ideally 3 to 5 years
  • Strong leadership and a real track record of developing teams
  • Financial acumen across budgeting, stock control, rostering and cost management
  • Current Driver's Licence, RSA, RMLV and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Systems literacy across POS, Microsoft Suite and booking platforms (OpenTable)
  • A solid understanding of food safety, liquor licensing and hospitality compliance
  • Outstanding communication and professional presentation
  • The composure to stay organised under pressure
  • Relevant qualifications in Hospitality, Business or Management
  • Flexibility across a seven-day roster including public holidays and peak periods
Why join us
  • Competitive remuneration with above-award rates
  • A genuinely spectacular venue, on one of the country's best golf courses
  • The restaurant floor and functions calendar are yours to run
  • Work-life balance with flexible hours
  • Tenure rewards that recognise your milestones
  • Career pathways across Palm Lake Group: 27 lifestyle resort communities and 7 aged care facilities along Australia's east coast
  • 24/7 confidential support through our Employee Assistance Program
How to Apply
If you are an experienced hospitality leader with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
