Events Coordinator – Golf & Functions | Landers Pocket

Landers Pocket isn't your average function venue. We're a golf and entertainment precinct next to Brisbane Airport — practice and play bays at Golf Central, Landers Links Mini Golf, an on-site 4 Pines brewery and multiple bar and dining spaces. Named QLD's Best Pub 2026, and we sell golf experiences as much as we sell food and beverage.

We're looking for a confident, organised, sales-driven Events Coordinator to be the first point of contact for all event and function enquiries. If you play golf, have worked in golf, or just genuinely get the game — you'll have a serious head start. A big part of this role is selling play bays, mini golf and golf-led event packages to corporate groups, social clubs and private parties, and it's a lot easier to sell an experience you understand and love.

About the Role

As the face of our venue, you will:

  • Respond to all function and event enquiries — from boardroom lunches to full-precinct golf days

  • Sell golf-based event experiences: play bays, mini golf, competitions and packages built around them

  • Qualify leads and proactively follow up to secure bookings

  • Prepare tailored quotes and proposals

  • Conduct venue tours and sell the Landers Pocket experience (yes, you'll be showing people the bays — a decent swing doesn't hurt)

  • Coordinate event logistics and create detailed run sheets

  • Manage contracts, invoices, CRM records and payment schedules

  • Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery
You'll play a key role in driving revenue, maintaining strong conversion rates, and making sure every client experience starts with professionalism and warmth.

About You

  • A golfer, a golf industry background, or a genuine enthusiasm for the game — this is what sets you apart for this role

  • Experience in event coordination, venue sales, golf operations or hospitality

  • Strong sales mindset with proven ability to convert enquiries

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Confident managing multiple events and deadlines
If you can talk golf with a corporate client at 10am, walk a bride-to-be through the venue at midday, and lock in a Christmas party booking by close of business — we'd love to hear from you.

Apply via SEEK with your resume and cover letter. Bonus points if your cover letter tells us your golf handicap.
