About the Role

As Director of Golf Operations, you’ll report to the Estate Project Director and take full ownership of all golf-related operations — including course management, pro shop retail, events, member services, team leadership, and strategic growth. You’ll also help oversee key projects, including a driving range upgrade, while working collaboratively across Eynesbury Quarter departments to deliver a seamless experience for members and guests.

About the Role
This is more than just a golf operations role — it’s a rare opportunity to lead a golf business on the rise.
As Director of Golf Operations, you’ll report to the Estate Project Director and take full ownership of all golf-related operations — including course management, pro shop retail, events, member services, team leadership, and strategic growth. You’ll also help oversee key projects, including a driving range upgrade, while working collaboratively across Eynesbury Quarter departments to deliver a seamless experience for members and guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
Lead the daily golf operation and overall experience, ensuring excellence in service, course readiness, and event execution.
Work closely with the Course Superintendent and department heads to ensure alignment and smooth coordination.
Drive the planning and delivery of weekly competitions, major events, and corporate golf days.
Manage rosters, labor budgets, hiring and performance across all golf staff. Schedule regular team meetings to drive revenue growth, cost control, improvement and customer service.
Develop operational procedures and training manuals to ensure consistent service standards, efficient workflows, and ongoing staff development.
Collaborate with industry bodies and maintain active networks within the golf community to ensure alignment with industry standards and growth opportunities.
Oversee the pro shop and merchandising strategy, ensuring product mix aligns with member needs and revenue goals.
Implement promotional campaigns and membership recruitment strategies.
Monitor sales performance and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
Establish sales goals and performance metrics for all golf programs and services, using data insights to drive continuous improvement and profitability.
Foster strong relationships with members, guests, and corporate clients.
Personally engage with players on and off the course, including social rounds as time allows.
Uphold course rules, create a welcoming culture, and continuously look for ways to enhance the experience.
Lead the driving range upgrade project, including planning, communication, and integration into the broader golf experience.
Develop and implement the annual golf business plan and events calendar.
Coordinate and manage all golf operations communications, including newsletters, marketing campaigns, and member engagement initiatives.
Oversee golf marketing initiatives including all promotional materials, play recruitment, yield management, golf packages, and outside events plus the promotion of new golf memberships
Proven experience in golf operations or hospitality venue leadership.
Strong team management, communication, and organisational skills.
Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
Experienced computer user, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Sound understanding of POS back-end systems and how they support retail and operations.
Mastery of MiClub — including tee sheet management, competition setup, reporting, member communication, invoicing, and integration with point-of-sale systems.
PGA accreditation (minimum AA) or significant industry experience highly desirable.
Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community
Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations
Salary of $100,000 – $120,000 + performance bonus
