Join our growing family at 1899. Our newest creation is 1899 Social Club in Shaker Heights, OH. This 16,000 sqft facility will feature 9 state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators, a casual fine dining restaurant with 80 person dining room, two full service craft cocktail bars, a stage and lounge area for live music and a speakeasy whiskey library with chefs table. We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to join our team. We take pride in providing excellent customer service with care and urgency, along with thoughtful provisions, crafts cocktails, excellent food and stellar service.
Successful candidates should have excellent leadership skills with experience managing in a high pressure environment. Must have a passion for golf and deep understanding of the game. Top candidates are individuals with a passion for enhancing customer satisfaction, increase business and revenues, meeting sales and profitability goals, managing staff effectively and working with the Management team to ensure guest experiences are memorable.
Responsibilities
$45,000-$60,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Assisting the general manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy
- Oversee day-to-day golf operations including golf associate scheduling, simulator operations, golf leagues and tournaments, golf events and anything simulator related.
- Learn and maintain an expert knowledge of Trackman
- Hire, train and supervise golf employees
- Ensuring that company guidelines are followed
- Analyzing daily processes to identify inefficiencies. Creating new workflows to boost company productivity based on findings
- Ensuring that goals and objectives are met
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Delegating tasks to employees as needed
- Supervising, leading and motivating employees
- Monitor and provide feedback to managed staff to effect improvements in organizational goals
- Filling in for senior management in case of their absence
- Helping with monitoring and tracking operating costs, budgets and resources
- Address customer needs, comments and complaints
- Managing guest complaints and resolving their issues
- Supporting the general manager as needed
- Ensure all employees are working within outlined operating standards
- Excellent leadership skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the golf industry or similar role
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to plan and organize
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to positively interact with staff and guests
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with notable experience handling multiple projects and tasks
- Excellent time-management skills
- Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call for other duties, as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Certification
$45,000-$60,000 depending on experience.
