The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, operational management, financial acumen, and a deep passion for the game of golf. This role involves overseeing all golf operations, enhancing member experiences, maintaining Pine Canyon’s status as a top-tier golfing destination, and ensuring sound financial management of the golf department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the golf operation, including tee time management, merchandising, tournament operations, and player development programs.
- Analyze operational efficiency, financial performance, and profitability, making data-driven decisions to optimize resources and ensure financial sustainability.
- Lead, train, and inspire a team of golf professionals and staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery and member satisfaction.
- Coordinate and execute golf tournaments and events, ensuring seamless planning and execution.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow golf memberships, enhance playing experiences, increase revenue, and manage budgets effectively.
- Manage the golf shop operations, ensuring a well-stocked inventory and high merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with the grounds superintendent to ensure the golf course is maintained to the highest standards.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for members and guests, enhancing the club’s reputation and community presence.
- Liaise with the club management team to align golf operations with overall club objectives.
- Represent Pine Canyon in professional golf associations and engage with the local and golfing communities.
- Proven experience as a Director of Golf or similar role in a prestigious golf club or resort.
- PGA Membership in good standing.
- Strong leadership, people management skills, and financial acumen.
- Excellent organizational, operational management, and financial management abilities.
- Deep understanding of the golf industry, including current trends, best practices, and financial aspects.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Ability to drive revenue growth through innovative programming, member engagement, and sound financial planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
