Key Responsibilities
Golf Operations & Management
- Oversee daily golf operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests.
- Manage golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory, purchasing, and sales.
- Coordinate tee times, golf cart operations, practice facilities, and overall pace of play.
- Develop and manage golf operations budgets, expenses, and revenue opportunities.
- Establish and maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, and operational efficiency.
Member Relations & Club Experience
- Build strong relationships with club members, guests, and club leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for golf-related activities, programs, and member needs.
- Create an engaging and welcoming golf environment that encourages participation and member satisfaction.
- Collaborate with club management and other departments to support club events and initiatives.
Tournament & Event Management
- Plan, organize, and execute club tournaments, member events, outings, and golf-related activities.
- Coordinate tournament registration, scoring, pairings, prizes, and event logistics.
- Develop creative golf programs that encourage member engagement and participation.
Instruction & Player Development
- Provide individual and group golf instruction for members of varying skill levels.
- Develop instructional programs, clinics, junior golf activities, and player development initiatives.
- Promote participation in golf through engaging educational and recreational programs.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise golf operations personnel.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and service-focused team environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional, or in a comparable golf operations leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of club golf operations, tournament management, and golf instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff, build member relationships, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Experience with golf shop merchandising, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak golf season demands.
