The Grange Golf Club is seeking an experienced Director of Golf. The Club is bringing its Golf Professional Services in-house in early December following the resignation of the Club’s Head Professional after 23 years of service. This is a unique opportunity and is pivotal in shaping the Club’s future.

Founded in 1926, The Grange Golf Club is one of Australia’s premier golf clubs with two internationally rated 18-hole championship golf courses, both ranked in the top 50 golf courses in Australia and an award-winning hospitality venue.

In April, the Club hosted another hugely successful LIV Golf Adelaide event for the second year. The record-breaking 2023 event was named the World’s Best Golf Event of the Year and the Club will host LIV Golf Adelaide again in 2025 & 2026. The Club is enjoying a thriving membership with 2,200 members playing 110,000 rounds annually and a growing wait list.

Key Responsibilities of the role –
  • Deliver high quality golf services for members and guests
  • Lead and develop a diverse team of staff, fostering an environment of excellence and strong culture
  • Be a visible and approachable presence for members and guests
  • Manage all retail activity at the Club including custom club fitting
  • Manage Driving Range operations
  • Have an innovative approach to Golf Services
  • Ensure a smooth transition of services for members, guests and staff
  • Implement new IT systems as part of the Club’s transition to in-house services
  • Ensure ongoing training and development of processes and procedures
  • Be attentive to members’ retail needs, tailoring offerings that ensure members’ engagement and support
  • Manage tuition programs and the team of PGA Professionals delivering individual and group tuition programs
  • Successfully deliver member, group and corporate golf events
  • Full ownership of the team’s performance and budget attainment


What you will bring to the role –
  • Professionalism and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with members, guests, staff and stakeholders
  • A passion for providing high quality member service and a commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Drive and enthusiasm to make a positive difference to members’ and guests’ experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to continual improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business or Golf Management is desirable as is membership of the PGA
  • Substantial golf and private member club experience preferred
