E-Commerce Data & Shipping Specialist – Golf *The Golf Guys – Bonita Springs, FL* *In-Person Position* About the Role The Golf Guys is looking for an organized, computer-savvy *E-Commerce Data & Shipping Specialist* to support the day-to-day operation of our growing online golf business. This is primarily a *computer-based position*, not a warehouse or high-intensity labor job. A large portion of the day will be spent working on a computer entering and verifying product information, processing online orders, updating inventory, working inside e-commerce systems, printing shipping labels, and making sure orders are accurate before they leave our store. There will also be some light physical activity associated with packing and shipping golf equipment, but we are *not looking for someone to perform heavy warehouse labor all day.* The right person should be comfortable sitting or working at a computer for extended periods, learning new software, working with detailed information, and staying accurate even when completing repetitive tasks. Golf knowledge is very important because much of the information you will be working with involves golf clubs, shafts, grips, specifications, and equipment options. What You'll Be Doing Your responsibilities may include: * Entering and updating product information in our e-commerce systems * Creating and updating Shopify products * Entering SKUs, UPCs, prices, inventory quantities, specifications, and variants * Reviewing product information for accuracy * Working with spreadsheets and vendor product information * Updating pricing and inventory * Helping organize online product catalogs * Identifying duplicate, missing, or incorrect product information * Processing online orders * Reviewing orders for accuracy before shipment * Printing shipping labels * Packing golf clubs, accessories, apparel, and other products * Selecting appropriate boxes and packaging * Preparing shipments for UPS, USPS, FedEx, or other carriers * Entering tracking information when necessary * Monitoring orders that have not shipped * Helping investigate shipping discrepancies * Checking inventory when an online order requires verification * Communicating internally when an item cannot be located or an order appears incorrect * Learning and working within Shopify and other e-commerce software * Performing basic computer troubleshooting * Maintaining organized digital records * Helping with additional e-commerce and operational projects as needed This Is a Detail-Oriented Position Accuracy matters. Golf equipment can have a large number of variations. For example, the same golf club may be available in different: *Lofts, shaft flexes, shaft weights, lengths, grip sizes, right- or left-handed configurations, set compositions, and other specifications.* We need someone who can recognize that: *TaylorMade Driver / 9° / Right Hand / Stiff* is not the same product as: *TaylorMade Driver / 10.5° / Left Hand / Regular* You should be comfortable slowing down, checking the information, and making sure the correct product is being entered or shipped. We would rather have something done *correctly the first time* than done quickly and incorrectly. Golf Knowledge This position requires a working understanding of golf equipment. You do not need to be a PGA professional or an expert club fitter, but you should already understand basic golf terminology. You should know the difference between drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters. You should also have a basic understanding of shaft flex, loft, graphite vs. steel shafts, grip sizes, right-handed vs. left-handed equipment, and common golf brands. Experience working in a golf shop, playing golf regularly, working with golf equipment, or having a strong personal interest in golf would be valuable. Computer Skills This position is *very computer heavy*. You should be someone who is naturally comfortable using computers and learning new programs. We do not expect you to be a programmer or IT professional. We do expect you to be able to navigate multiple browser tabs, copy and organize information accurately, work with spreadsheets, upload images and files, learn new software, troubleshoot simple problems, and understand how information moves between different systems. Experience with *Shopify, Excel, Google Sheets, shipping software, inventory systems, POS systems, or other e-commerce platforms* is especially valuable. Shipping & Fulfillment Part of this position will involve preparing online orders for shipment. You may pack golf clubs, golf balls, accessories, apparel, shafts, grips, and other golf products. Because golf clubs and shafts can require larger shipping boxes, you should be comfortable handling normal retail shipments. However, this is *not a high-intensity warehouse position*. Most of your work will revolve around order accuracy, computer systems, product data, shipping labels, and organization rather than continuous heavy lifting. The Type of Person We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is: Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, comfortable with computers, able to work independently, willing to ask questions when something looks wrong, able to learn new software quickly, familiar with golf equipment, comfortable performing repetitive computer tasks without losing accuracy, and able to move between computer work and light shipping/packing responsibilities throughout the day. You should also be someone who notices problems. If an order says *left handed* but the product sitting in front of you is *right handed*, we want you to catch that before it gets shipped. If a product is priced at $29.99 when similar products are $299.99, we want you to question it rather than blindly processing it. Required Qualifications Applicants should have strong computer skills, strong attention to detail, basic golf-equipment knowledge, good organizational skills, the ability to work comfortably with spreadsheets and detailed information, the ability to learn new computer systems, reliable attendance, and the ability to work *in person in Bonita Springs, Florida.* Previous Shopify experience is preferred but not necessarily required if you are extremely comfortable learning computer systems. Preferred Experience Experience with Shopify, e-commerce, Excel, Google Sheets, inventory systems, shipping software, UPS/FedEx/USPS shipping, retail order fulfillment, product data entry, golf retail, golf equipment, POS systems, or online product catalogs would all be beneficial. Physical Requirements This is *not a heavy-labor position*, but some physical activity is required. You should be able to move around the store or shipping area, pack orders, handle golf clubs and shipping boxes, and perform normal retail fulfillment tasks. The majority of the position will involve *computer work, data entry, order processing, and e-commerce operations.* Please Read Before Applying This position is probably a good fit if you enjoy computers, golf, organization, and detailed work. It may *not* be a good fit if you strongly dislike repetitive computer work, struggle with attention to detail, are uncomfortable learning new software, or have no interest in golf equipment. You do not need to know every system we use on your first day. We are more interested in finding someone who is *good with computers, careful with information, dependable, and willing to learn.* *Location:* Bonita Springs, Florida *Work Setting:* In Person *Company:* The Golf Guys Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
