About The Role

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for a dynamic and driven leader who has experience in business management ideally within the hospitality industry.

We require a motivated individual who is committed to furthering the development of the Kalgoorlie Golf Course operations, with the ability to develop a highly effective team with excellent customer service.

The Kalgoorlie Golf Course Complex includes a premier 18-hole grass public golf course designed by Graham Marsh, pro-shop and retail outlet, driving range and The Waterhole Bar & Bistro.

It is owned and operated by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and is the home of the Goldfields Golf Club.

Reporting to the Director Corporate and Commercial, the Coordinator Golf Course will lead the day-to-day operations of the Golf Course, with a primary focus to increase the utilisation of the facility by locals and visitors by delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Duties

Strong leadership is required, with a good understanding and experience in:

  • People and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Small to Large Scale Events
  • Food and Beverage Services including Liquor Licence
  • Staff Rosters
  • Strong Marketing Experience
  • Financial Management
  • Understanding of Golf and Industry
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate the demands of the Golf Course and Clubhouse
You will strive for ongoing improvement through industry benchmarking and will challenge the status quo, by leading the way in innovation and best practice.

Who We Are Looking For

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • Significant track record in business improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or qualities, the ability to mentor staff.
  • Holder of a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) and/or Approved Managers Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven administrative, financial management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines across a number of projects simultaneously, while ensuring attention to detail.
  • Ability to negotiate, solve problems and resolve conflict situations.
  • Current satisfactory National Police Clearance
