Stillwater Golf & Country Club has an exceptional career opportunity for a Cook / Culinary Lead. This position will work closely with the F&B Manager to create the highest quality F&B experience for our Members and Guests. Assists with overseeing the kitchen operation and reports directly to the F&B Manager.
Stillwater Golf & Country Club is located in the heart of St Johns County FL and features an18-hole bundled Golf Course designed by Master Golf Course Architect Bobby Weed, practice facility with Toptracer Technology, a resort-style pool, tennis and bocce ball courts, weekly and social events and more!
Pay: $16 - $18 per hour

Job purpose
Prepares food and assists the Food and Beverage Director with Menu and features creation; recipe costing and creation; inventory management; purchasing; recruitment and overall departmental growth.
Duties and responsibilities
- Comply with and assist in the creation of written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure the production of consistent quality and portion control, i.e. sizes of portions, methods of preparation, cooking, garnishing of foods, and sees that the food is prepared as ordered.
- Receives and checks food and supplies into the kitchen and storerooms i.e. inspect condition of contents, checks against invoices & orders, and freshness of product. Stores new and reuse products in proper temperatures and proper wrappings.
- Assists with the recruitment and education of new Team Members.
- Supervise Cooks and oversee food production in their area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas as instructed by the Food and Beverage Manager or General Manager.
- Complete opening and closing checklists as outlined by the Food and Beverage Manager or General Manager.
- Assist with inventory management and purchasing.
- Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by Hampton Golf.
- Maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate.
- Protect the assets of the Club.
- Assist with other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Lead Cook, or possess the right attitude, passion and rudimentary knowledge to be considered for training and growth investment.
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
