Click on the following link to see a little of what we have to offer:JOB DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The grill cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items at the grill at Pheasant Run
Responsibilities include preparation of limited items and proper use of large volume, single-purpose cooking equipment
EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed.) Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
Cook and package batches of food, such as hamburgers and chicken, which are prepared to order or kept warm until sold
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared
Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, or griddle
Prepare specialty sandwiches following specific methods that require short preparation time
Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions
Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
Clean, stock and restock workstations and display cases
May take and check in the delivery of supplies
Schedule activities and equipment use with managers, using information about daily menus to coordinate cooking times
Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for the kitchen station as directed
Perform other related duties as required
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Minimum of 1 year of commercial cooking and food preparation experience preferred
ServSafe Food & Alcohol Safety certification preferred
Minimum age of 18 years old
Prior customer service experience preferred
Ability to handle money accurately, conscientiously, and honestly
Ability to follow directives accurately and thoroughly and work without close supervision
Ability to self-start; demonstrated self-motivation abilities
Ability to clearly communicate procedures, problems, and policies with fellow employees and the public in a tactful and courteous manner
Experience with point-of-sale technology preferred
Ability to work a wide variety of shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns, which includes, but is not limited to, convictions for reckless driving, careless driving, suspended license, or convictions involving drinking and impaired driving
This is an "At-Will" position: Work assignments and hours are scheduled based on availability, division requirements, and within the confines of the budget
Schedules and work hours are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time due to division needs, budgeting constraints, and staff availability
