Wilcannia is located 965 km northwest of Sydney, is half way between Broken Hill and Cobar and is situated on the Darling River. Wilcannia has a population of around 700 and has plenty of passing traffic on the Barrier Highway. There are regular visiting medical services, tradespeople, Government Department officials, and the town is also enjoying increasing tourist numbers.

The Wilcannia Golf Club has 500 members, 20 gaming machines, TAB, Keno, meat raffles and badge draw every Friday and Saturday night, bingo on Saturday and other events scheduled at the Club on a monthly basis. The club has a 9-hole sand green golf course, tennis courts and a basketball court. There are two other food outlets in Wilcannia (take-away).

Wilcannia Golf Club are seeking interest from Contract Caterers to provide a Classic and Modern Australian and Asian/Chinese style menu in the Club's restaurant, ideally operating 7 days per week for lunch and dinner. The Club offers a fully equipped kitchen with cool room, walk in freezer, 4 burner gas stove, oven and grill, gas deep fryer, 2 burner wok station and a bain-marie.

Expectations of Suitable Applicant:

• Provide consistent, outstanding customer service
• Maintain exceptional levels of cleanliness and tidiness within the venue
• Provide quality meals at value appropriate to the venue
• Be fully conversant with relevant legislation relating to food service, hygiene and employment including WHS compliance and insurance
• Provide own experienced, well-trained staff

Catering is a key aspect of the Club's operations and service offerings. Therefore, to ensure the Club is able to attract the right applicants, very attractive terms of the contractual agreement will be negotiated with the preferred applicant, upon invitation to operate the catering facilities. The Club aims to ensure they can secure an experienced Caterer who will bring a great product and service to the Club, while making the move to Wilcannia beneficial and profitable for the successful applicant! The Club are aiming for a 'win-win' agreement for both, which will incorporate low-cost overheads!

• Cover letter explaining reasons for wanting the contract
• Business Information - Registered Trading Name, and or ABN/ACN details
• Detailed history of relevant and current catering experience, industry references
• Proposed menu concepts and pricing information
• Copy of compliance certificates including Food Handling Safety and WH&S
• An idea of when you would be able to commence and take over operation from current caterer.
