Qualifications

Previous experience with golf instruction, junior programs, golf camps, tournaments or competitive golf is a plus.
The J-1 Experience
This is a structured J-1 Internship/Traineeship designed to provide international participants with practical training, professional development, and exposure to U.S. workplace practices.

- Learning effective coaching and player-development techniques
- Assisting with individual and group instruction
- Developing skills in evaluating player performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Supporting training programs for players at different skill levels
- Learning how to structure effective practice sessions
- Assisting with golf clinics, camps and special programs
- Developing professional communication skills with players, families and colleagues
- Learning the operational and organizational aspects of a professional golf program
- Progressively taking on greater responsibility as knowledge and coaching skills develop

Qualifications

- A degree or educational background in golf, sports, physical education, sports management, or a related field
- Previous experience playing, coaching or working within the golf industry
- A strong knowledge of golf fundamentals
- An interest in developing a professional career in golf instruction or player development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and a professional attitude
- The ability to work effectively with individuals and groups
- Good English communication skills
