Emerald Lakes Golf Club is seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Permanent Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-energy kitchen, a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in both flavour and presentation.
Responsibilities:
AQF Certificate III including at least 2 years on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or equiv international qualifications; or if no formal qualifications at least 3 years relevant experience required.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a chef in a busy kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding food.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Salary: $76,600 – $78,000 plus superannuation, subject to skills and experience

Follow instructions from Head Chef
Assist Sous Chefs in preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and quality standards.
Ensure food is presented attractively and consistently while maintaining portion control.
Assist in menu development, bringing creativity and fresh ideas to the kitchen.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and minimize food waste.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
Assist with the planning and execution of special events and catering functions
