Emerald Lakes Golf Club is seeking a skilled and passionate Full-Time Permanent Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-energy kitchen, a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in both flavour and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions from Head Chef

  • Assist Sous Chefs in preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and quality standards.

  • Ensure food is presented attractively and consistently while maintaining portion control.

  • Assist in menu development, bringing creativity and fresh ideas to the kitchen.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.

  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and minimize food waste.

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.

  • Assist with the planning and execution of special events and catering functions
Qualifications/Experience:

AQF Certificate III including at least 2 years on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or equiv international qualifications; or if no formal qualifications at least 3 years relevant experience required.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a chef in a busy kitchen environment.

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.

Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding food.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Salary: $76,600 – $78,000 plus superannuation, subject to skills and experience
