Job Announcement: Starter/Cashier - William Land Golf Course

Department: Green Fee
Status: Hourly, Part-time
Reports To: General Manager

Position Overview: The William Land Golf Course is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Pro Shop Starters/Cashiers. In this role, you will be responsible for handling advance tee time reservations, registration, and retail transactions. Your friendly demeanor and exceptional customer service skills will contribute to creating a positive experience for our patrons.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a happy, friendly, and energetic smile upon entering the Golf Shop.
• Schedule is flexible, must be able to work weekdays and/or weekends. Current shifts run from 6:00am to 8:00pm depending on time of season
• Handle reservations, greens fee payments, cart fees, and retail purchases.
• Open and close the golf shop following established policies and procedures.
• Promote and sell the Morton Golf Connect Program.
• Stay up to date with changing policies and procedures.
• Manage cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support tournament operations by offering assistance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters, drawers, and displays.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills in both written and oral forms.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Customer Service and/or Cashier experience.
• Education: High School Graduate recommended but not required.
• Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of club repair and strong customer service skills.
• Abilities: Initiative, ability to work under pressure, multitasking, adaptability, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Character Traits: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to specify expectations, give feedback, involve others, and promote Morton Golf Core Values.

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
