Manage all duties related to the operation of the retail golf shop by coordinating budgeting, purchasing, and displaying of all merchandise for the golf shop and assist in the coordination of golf operations and associated activities of the Ladies’ Golf Associations.

Essential Functions
Manage all duties related to the operation of the retail golf shop by coordinating budgeting, purchasing, and displaying of all merchandise for the golf shop and assist in the coordination of golf operations and associated activities of the Ladies’ Golf Associations.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain a plan for all display areas to best highlight inventory on hand and meet sales goals.
- Work directly with members to identify preferences and forecast merchandise trends.
- Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices. Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for the company.
- Discover and purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already on the shelves.
- Create reports on sales, budgets, and member satisfaction and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Meticulously manage shop appearance including cleanliness, displays, and seasonal décor.
- Responsible for all merchandise receipts including the accurate count and compliance of all shipments and purchase contracts, the entry of merchandise received into the inventory system, the pricing of such merchandise, and the authorization for payment of invoices for received merchandise.
- Process returns, credits, and defective merchandise.
- Enhance and centralize special orders program to include consistent placement, receipt, billing, and delivery of orders.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all supplies and manage stock levels needed for the operational goals while staying within budget.
- Keep the stockroom organized and functional.
- Train shop assistants.
- Establish an advertising program to market to members through the Clubs email communication system.
- Encourage hospitality and goodwill to all members and their guests and assist with merchandise needs.
- Attend events, fairs, and exhibitions to remain up to date with market trends.
- Become knowledgeable with the starter position and outside service duties to insure attentiveness to member’s needs.
- Provide support services to the golf professional with regards to the Junior Golf Program and member events.
- Complete all duties in accordance with the operations manual.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma; BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field a plus.
- Retail sales experience using POS, managing stock, and running end of day reports required.
- Possess quality interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques.
- Knowledge of golf products is helpful but is not mandatory.
- Understand computer programs such as Microsoft products, POS, ForeTees, Clubessential, and be willing to learn other operating systems.
- Must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
- Hourly Wage- $25 - $27 depending on experience.
