Job Title: Part Time Bookkeeper
Job Summary: Provide a variety of bookkeeping, compliance, and accounting functions to assist existing treasury and finance workload.
The Broome Golf Club is a not for profit grassed green, 18-hole course located in Broome, Western Australia. With the addition of the newly built club house and restaurant, we host the best views in Broome with panoramic ocean views of Roebuck bay on one side and our stunning golf course on the other.
An opportunity has become available for an experienced bookkeeper to assist our existing administration and treasury. The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, have a strong ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares and balances appropriate superannuation and taxation related forms for submission to treasury
• Maintains relevant bookkeeping files
• Prepares, reviews, and maintains receivables/payables, employee benefits, taxation compliance and other mandatory remittances
• Maintains and works with accounting software (MYOB) and POS reconciliations
• Performs clerical and other related financial duties as required
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-years' experience in a related field, with employer compliance obligation experience
• Experience in the management of multiple financial systems and the ability to integrate POS sales system to MYOB accounting package
• Must have excellent computer-based skills.
• Knowledge of not-for-profit community-based programs and services would be an asset
Job Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated ability to perform multi tasks where required
• Demonstrated ability to manage and operate computerised accounting systems with strong compliance knowledge
• Advanced time management skills and the ability to anticipate and manage a changing workflow
• Good oral and written communication skills
Hours:
Initial workload will be negotiated; however, it is anticipated to be approximately 4hrs per week. Ability to work onsite will be an asset. The integration to cloud-based support will be available into the future.
