*Job Overview* We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team as a Bartender / Club Experience Associate. In this multifaceted role, the individual will provide an exceptional hospitality experience to club members and their guests while maintaining a professional, welcoming, and upscale private-club environment. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, personable hospitality professional who enjoys interacting with people and has an interest in golf, sports, and social entertainment. The individual will prepare and serve beverages, maintain the bar and lounge areas, assist members with simulator-related needs, support club events, and help create the overall atmosphere and culture of the club. This is not simply a bartending position. The successful candidate will become one of the primary points of contact between the club and its members and should take pride in knowing members by name, understanding their preferences, and making them feel at home. *Key Responsibilities* *Member & Guest Experience* * Welcome members and guests upon arrival and create a warm, personalized experience. * Learn members' names, beverage preferences, golf interests, and general preferences. * Provide attentive but unobtrusive service. * Act as a knowledgeable ambassador for the club. * Answer questions about club policies, membership, events, simulator use, and amenities. * Resolve routine member concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate. * Oversee inventory management of spirits, wine, beer, mixers, and bar supplies to minimize waste while maintaining stock levels for busy nights * Maintain the private-club atmosphere and standards of conduct. *Bartending & Beverage Service* * Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, spirits, mocktails, soft drinks, coffee, and other beverages. * Maintain knowledge of the club's beverage menu and make recommendations. * Maintain proper inventory levels and communicate shortages to management. * Properly ring all purchases through the club's Square POS system. * Monitor member tabs and ensure accurate billing. * Follow all applicable Connecticut alcohol-service laws and club policies. * Monitor alcohol consumption and responsibly refuse service when appropriate. * Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar throughout each shift. * Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to food safety, alcohol service, and general cleanliness standards *Qualifications* *Required* * Previous bartending, restaurant, club, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred. * Strong customer-service skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently. * Ability to handle multiple customers and competing priorities. * Professional appearance and demeanor. * Reliable attendance and punctuality. * Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events. * Must meet all applicable Connecticut requirements for alcohol service. *Preferred* * Experience working in a private club, country club, upscale restaurant, hotel, or similar environment. * Knowledge of golf and/or interest in the game. * Familiarity with (or interest in learning about) golf simulators and launch-monitor technology. * Experience with Square or similar POS systems. * Experience working private events. * Basic knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and cocktails. *Personal Characteristics* * Outgoing but not overbearing * Friendly and personable * Professional * Dependable * Attentive to detail * Comfortable talking with members * Able to read the room * Team-oriented * Confident handling difficult situations * Genuinely interested in hospitality * Comfortable around golfers and sports enthusiasts *Performance Standards* *Performance will be evaluated on:* * Member satisfaction and hospitality. * Quality and consistency of beverage service. * Knowledge of club operations and offerings. * Bar cleanliness and organization. * Accuracy of POS transactions and tabs. * Inventory management. * Compliance with alcohol-service requirements. * Reliability and punctuality. * Professional appearance and conduct. * Contribution to the overall culture and atmosphere of the club. *Compensation* Base Pay: $20-$30 per hour (based upon experience) + tips Additional compensation may be available for: * Private Events * Tournaments * Special Events * Extended/late-night shifts * Performance-based incentives Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week Work Location: In person
