DIplomatik is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Golf course Assistant Superintendent to join our client's team, you'll play a crucial role in assisting the Course superintendent in maintaining and improving the playing conditions of their golf course. This includes overseeing the implementation of agronomic practices, coordinating course maintenance staff, and ensuring that all course maintenance procedures are followed.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Care and maintenance of the greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and clubhouse areas including turf, trees & gardens on the facility grounds.
  • Planting of new vegetation, spraying, pruning, and trimming of trees, shrubs & gardens.
  • Managing water usage & irrigation systems for greens, tees & fairways.
  • Supervises, participates in the application & recording of chemical applications (fertilisers and pesticides) on the Club's grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains records and completes required reporting. Order parts, supplies and equipment as needed.


Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge:



  • The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in all aspects of golf course maintenance, including irrigation, fertilization, pesticide application, turf culture, and drainage systems, along with strong commitments to Work, Health & Safety practices.
  • Trade Certificate or higher in Sports Turf Management or related field.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in golf course maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of agronomy, turf grass science, and pest management.
  • Strong product knowledge and certificate for the application of chemicals is considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency with irrigation systems and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to commute and hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • Hold a valid Construction White Card.
  • A resolute positive mindset, excellent communication, and organisational skills.
