The roles of our Golf Services Supervisors (GSS) are golf operations focused and are slightly removed from the traditional pro shop position. With our bust caddie program of over 250 caddies and strong occupancy on all three golf courses, our GSS team members are very much engaged directly with serving our guests, the caddie program, and leading the golf operations team.
Title: Assistant Golf Professional – Golf Services Supervisor
Reports to: Head Golf Professional
Job Type: Full Time Seasonal (May through October)
Position Overview
The Golf Operations Attendant will play a key role in ensuring the success of a variety of areas within the golf operation. Working closely alongside the Head Golf Professional, The Assistant Golf Pro/Golf Services Supervisor (AGP-GSS) is expected to maintain and exceed the world-class service standards at Cabot Cape Breton while assisting resort guests during their entire golf experience.

- Team Leadership: Overseeing and inspiring a team consisting of Players’ Assistants, Club Storage Attendants, Starters, Marshalls and other members of the Golf Operations team; embracing leadership and consistently being a dependable team leader.
- Golf Culture: Embrace the world of golf, including its traditions, rules, and etiquette. Enjoy discussing golf-related topics and helping players with their needs.
- Guest/Owner Interaction: Take pleasure in interacting with golfers and guests, offering exceptional customer service with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Flexibility: Be adaptable and versatile, as the position requires you to perform a variety of tasks to support the overall golf operation.
- High school diploma

Requirements of the role you should be aware of:
- Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing other duties is to be expected.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving luggage, golf clubs, and objects up to 50 lbs in weight
- Base salary: $1450 - $1600 paid bi-weekly, commensurate with experience
- Caddy Gratuity Bonus available at end of season
