In this role, you will assist the Head Golf Professional in facilitating all aspects of the golf operation ensuring members and guests have an exceptional experience. Manage the golf course hourly staff to include the Outside Services Supervisor, Assistant Golf Professionals, Outside Services Professionals, Player Assistants and Range Ambassador(s).
The ideal candidate will bring great energy, teamwork, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. A minimum of 2 years experience as an Assistant Head Golf Professional / First Assistant. Previous employment at a PGA accredited golf operation. Proven track record with management skills and the ability to manage an operation. Prior experience in ForeTees, Golf Genius, and Total E (Point-of-Sale), preferred. Must have a valid driver's license.

JOB DETAILS
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Golf Professional in facilitating all aspects of golf operations and managing a team of 10-20 teammates.
- Assist member and guests with pre-golf check-in, special orders, policy information, and monitoring of daily golf shop operations.
- Communicate regularly with the Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, Tournament Director, Retail and F&B Teams, Outside Services and Player Assistants regarding daily operations and special events.
- Aid in the management of the golf operation’s employee uniform program, including the ordering, receiving, distribution, storage, and return authorizations for seasonal collections.
- Prepare weekly schedule.
- Assist in the execution of tournaments.
- Promote and assist in the growth and development of Desert Mountain’s weekly event offerings including the WGA (Women’s Golf Association) and all associated activities.
- Monitor daily retail and green fee sales.
- Analyze and organize daily golf shop receipts.
- Manage pace of play and maintain knowledge of the PACE GPS system.
- Oversee the golf car fleet and club rental sets.
- Coach, counsel, and train teammates.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Required to work in an outdoor working environment – Regularly
- Exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather (from 20 to 110 degrees) – Regularly
- Required to work, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Typical schedule – Sunrise to late afternoon, 5+ days per week.
