The City of Caldwell has an opening for an Assistant Golf Superintendent in the Golf Department. Individual assists with the oversight of maintenance for City golf courses, and performs maintenance work associated with the construction, repair and maintenance of golf facilities. Experience in lawn care, landscaping, and lawn maintenance is highly preferred. Must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with other City employees and the general public. Subject to a pre-employment drug test, background check, and reference check.

Education and Training:

• Graduation from high school or possession of a GED; and
• At least 3 years’ full time work experience in lawn care, groundskeeping, and maintenance, including irrigation and sprinkler repair; golf course maintenance experience preferred; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Required Special Qualifications:

• Possession of a current and valid driver’s license.
• Golf course experience preferred.
• Lawn and landscape experience preferred.
• Must be able to work Wednesday through Sunday.
• Ability to obtain the Idaho Pesticide License within six months of employment.
