About this Position
The 2nd Assistant to the Golf Superintendent is third in command behind the assistant superintendent and the superintendent for Kickingbird Golf. They will participate and assist in the direction of the golf course maintenance, irrigation, and landscaping.

About this Position
The 2nd Assistant to the Golf Superintendent is third in command behind the assistant superintendent and the superintendent for Kickingbird Golf. They will participate and assist in the direction of the golf course maintenance, irrigation, and landscaping.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of basic specialized skilled labor including course prep, watering greens, and application of turf protectants
- Troubleshoot and correct a wide variety of irrigation problems
- Train new employees and manage existing seasonal employees
- Operate equipment including mowers, skid steer, etc.
- Assist in scheduling work assignments
- Acquire a category 3A Oklahoma Department of Agriculture (ODA) sprayer's certification within six (6) months of hire
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 12-18 months of management experience
- people and/or project management
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
- Good mathematical ability
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
- Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
