Assistant Course Superintendent/2IC

Yowani Country Club is one of Canberra’s leading golf clubs and is currently undergoing a major redevelopment of the 18 hole golf course (including irrigation), maintenance facility and club house. Yowani is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Superintendent to join our team.

The successful applicant will be experienced in:

• Course setup and preparation
• Management of fine turf surfaces
• Irrigation repairs, maintenance and scheduling
• Maintenance, operation and management of plant, machinery and equipment
• Management of staff, stock and budget
• Record keeping and work scheduling
• Chemical handling, mixing and application

And will possess:

• Formal Qualification, Minimum Cert III (Turf Management)
• An enthusiastic attitude with eye for detail
• Strong work ethic with leadership qualities
• The ability to work and communicate in a team environment
• A strong commitment to OH&S and Club Policies;

Applicants will be required to assist in course management, maintenance and preparation including some rostered weekend work and occasional over time. A competitive salary package is negotiable depending on qualifications and level of experience.
