Lakeland started our 25 year lease on the property in 2020 and we have continued to see improvements to the turf conditions each year.
Job Overview: As the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the turf conditions at Waterton Golf Course. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of turf grass education or multiple years of practical experience. This is a year-round position with a competitive salary and accommodations provided during the season. Golf privileges, restaurant, and clubhouse discounts are also included.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of turf management programs.
- Oversee daily course maintenance activities, ensuring high-quality playing conditions.
- Collaborate with the golf course superintendent to implement best practices in turf care.
- Provide training for staff.
- Supervise and lead a team of dedicated groundskeeping staff.
- Conduct routine property and equipment checks.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of turf grass education or multiple years of practical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of turf management practices and equipment operation.
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eager and hardworking attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Having an Alberta pesticide license would be an asset.
