The Role
As the 2IC, you’ll work closely with the Course Superintendent to manage all aspects of course maintenance, while playing a key role in future planning and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll be trusted to lead and motivate the ground staff, implement best practices, and ensure the course and surrounding areas meet high presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of turf professionals to achieve high productivity and quality standards
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing daily maintenance operations
- Contribute to member satisfaction through course presentation and maintenance excellence
- Manage WH&S processes and identify safety improvements
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee irrigation, chemical and fertiliser application, and turf machinery use
- Support strategic planning for course upgrades and improvements
You’re an experienced, motivated, and reliable turf professional with a proactive approach to leadership. You’re confident in managing course operations and are ready to take on more responsibility within a progressive and supportive team environment.
Your Toolkit
- Certificate or Diploma in Sports Turf Management
- Chemical spraying accreditation with sound practical knowledge
- At least 5 years’ experience in the turf industry
- Expertise in irrigation systems and turf machinery
- Demonstrated team leadership and time management skills
- High attention to safety and workplace procedures
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement
- Full Australian working rights and current driver licence
- Immediate start with full-time hours and weekend roster rotation
- Competitive salary package starting at $90,000+ p.a. (negotiable)
