Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf care, landscaping, irrigation, and tree care to ensure optimal playing conditions.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, providing guidance on landscape projects, lawn care, and general upkeep.
- Support construction activities such as bunker renovations, pathway improvements, or landscape enhancements while adhering to safety standards.
- Oversee routine maintenance tasks like mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control to maintain healthy turf and plant life.
- Monitor irrigation systems for proper operation; troubleshoot issues and schedule repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative landscaping solutions that enhance course aesthetics and sustainability.
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture with a focus on turf management.
- Strong supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction environments.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including fertilization, aeration, pest management, and soil health.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to golf course improvements or outdoor projects.
- Expertise in tree care practices such as pruning, planting, and disease management.
- Proficiency with irrigation systems—installation, troubleshooting, and repairs—ensuring efficient water use.
- Passion for gardening and horticulture with an eye for detail in maintaining beautiful landscapes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate team members while fostering a safe work environment.
