Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities
Hiring Range: $20.45 - 27.78
Assists the director of golf, manager of golf, and 1st assistant golf professional in the overall operations of the golf course, driving range, golf shop, adult golf instruction program, and junior golf instruction program. Assists with managing daily golf operations, including managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, supervising golf staff, helping with all merchandising functions, working tournaments, teaching private lessons, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Assist with adult golf instructional program to teach customers golfing techniques, rules of play, and golf course etiquette.
• Provides private golf instruction during scheduled times.
• Directs staff in preparing daily cash and weekly and monthly reports that provide accurate information.
• Assist with inventory sales, receive merchandise, display merchandise, and promote merchandise daily to provide accurate records.
• Assist with starting times and make decisions relating to starting times daily.
• Assist with play on the golf course and is responsible for enforcing golf course rules and regulations.
• Resolves user complaints without the director of golf, manager of golf, and 1st assistant golf professional.
• Assist with all areas of the junior golf program, including planning, registration, and instruction as directed by the manager of golf.
• Delivers customer service with a smile using courteous, patient, and professional language.
• Assist with total golf operations professionally and efficiently in the absence of the manager of golf, director of golf, and 1st assistant golf professional.
• Professionally conducts oneself and maintains a professional image at all times.
• Assists in managing tournaments and outings.
• Assists in planning and budgeting for golf operations.
• Have operating knowledge of computer hardware and software for golf operations.
• Assist with training of all golf operations staff on all computer software.
• Open and close the golf shop and be available to work in the early morning and evening hours.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Directs other personnel and personally completes any task necessary to maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentable condition of clubhouse and par 3 buildings.
• Directs other personnel and personally keeps all rental equipment in clean and usable condition daily.
• Communicates with men's, ladies', and senior golf clubs to maintain a positive relationship, resolve conflicts, and promote the sport of golf continually.
• Collects and cleans range balls, shovels snow, paints, cleans carpets, repairs heater, and air conditioner, changes outside light bulbs, and extricates ball picker from mud as required.
• Completes other duties or tasks as assigned.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
• Supervises part-time driving range and golf service personnel.
Job Qualifications
• Registered apprentice or member of the Professional Golfers Association of America.
• Maintains an active classification in the PGA of America.
• Successful completion of the PGA of America playing ability test.
• Must possess a current and valid Colorado driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High School Diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience.
Work Environment
• Ability to move 30 pounds of golf balls for distribution to customers.
• Ability to climb 20 feet on a ladder to change light bulbs and repair or adjust heater/air conditioner.
• Ability to crawl through confined spaces to repair or adjust heater/air conditioner.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as assigned by the director of golf, manager of golf, and 1st assistant golf professional.
• Ability to shovel snow, paint, clean carpets, move non-running golf carts, and change cart tires as needed.
• Must be available to respond to a 24-hour alarm system.

- Solid knowledge of business math and English to complete bank deposits, required reports, and merchandising procedures.
